This course is designed to teach the practiced student the required joinery to create larger Japanese timber frame structures such as houses, barns, and the like.
We go over in great detail the layout and cutting up of the more complex joinery such as scarf joints and spline tenon joinery. These are some of the most complex and interesting joinery used in timber framing globally and will be a great challenge for any woodworker.
This course will include a detailed PDF plan for a large 24×24′ cabin/workshop.
We will also teach how this frame could be insulated and finished out as a living space.
This course contains roughly 5 hours of video, and students will have permanent access to the videos in the future.
