Two ladies and a bird in Portland, Maine combined their unique skills to get Mr. Chickadee up and running.
In case you don't know, chickadees are the Maine state bird (and the pine cone and tassel are the state "flower"...we digress...). Here is a little bit about our "staff."
Mr Chickadee
Mr. Chickadee is the inspiration and namesake of our little site.
His day job keeps him busy scratching up new artists and musicians for us to turn our eyes and ears to.
In the evenings he relaxes over warm cognac and birdseed.
Danielle
Danielle is a freelance graphic and web designer.
Although she spends her days at Maine attraction L.L.Bean, her efforts are spent morning to night making Mr. Chickadee sparkle.
She's also the artist and designer behind Tykewise infant and children's clothing and accessories.
Audrey
Audrey lives and works in the West End of Portland.
She manages a coffee shop, but don't let that fool you: working as a freelance writer for herself and notably Spare Change News out of Boston, she's the main writer for the site.
She splits her time creating under the pseudonym Radio Mireille and as the lead ukulele-ist and supporting singer in local band, Carmen For Orchestra.
